EDTA对蚕豆根尖细胞微核的诱变作用

摘要:
为探讨EDTA对高等植物细胞的诱变作用,以及验证EDTA对金属离子的螯合作用,本试验用不同浓度的EDTA处理蚕豆根尖细胞,进行微核试验,并以Pb(NO3)2作为阳性对照,以无离子水作为阴性对照,发现EDTA能使蚕豆根尖细胞微核率有明显增加.由此证明 EDTA对高等植物细胞有一定的诱变作用.

Inducement of EDTA on Micronucleus Frequency in Vicia faba Root Tips
Abstract:
In order to investigate the effect of EDTA on micronucleus frequency in Vicia faba root tips, and to prove the chelation of EDTA with metallic ions, Vicia faba root tips were treated with different concentrations of EDTA alone, Pb(NO 3) 2 alone, and the solution mixed by EDTA and Pb(NO 3) 2 , while di-ion water and Pb(NO 3) 2 acted as negative and positive controls respectively. It was observed that EDTA could increase micronucleus frequency and have a dose-effect relationship. Through this experiment, it was proved that, at a certain concentration, EDTA could introduce damaging effect to nucleus of plant cell.
