| This review briefly discusses the process and characteristics on absorption and assimilation of selenium in high plant, and summarizes the recent advances on presence of essential selenoprotein in high plants, screening selenium related mutants as well as the transgenic plants which are transformed by some key enzyme genes of selenium metabolism. On the basis of these, we put forward several assumptions on plant selenium nutrition research. |
