Synthesis of DL-Tryptophan with Phenylhyarazine |

Abstract: |
DL-tryptophan was synthesized by condensation reaction of phenylhyarazine and addition of acrolein and ethyl acetamidomalonate. The obtained Phenylhydrazone cycled under acidic condition, subsequently decarboxylated in alkali followed by hydrolysis to get final DL-tryptophan with the yield of 43.9 %. |
