| Present Condition and Developmental Strategy of Chinese Honeybee Apiculture in Qin-Ba Mountainous Areas |

| Abstract: |
| Investigations indicate: (1) the apiculture of Chinese honeybee has achieved a preliminary scale in Qin-Ba mountainous areas; (2) both the improved and the old beekeeping techniques are being used in different regions, resulting in great difference in earnings; and (3) application of the improved technique gains 6-fold benefits or higher compared with those of the old one. Strategies to develop the apiculture in the areas are: (1) raising Chinese honeybee with movable honeycombs on a large scale; and (2) putting Chinese honeybee's scientific management into practice. The improved technique of raising Chinese honeybee with movable honeycombs suitable to the areas is presented. |
