| Improvement on Determination of Diosgenin in Dioscorea zingiberensis Wright |

| Abstract: |
| Improvement was made on the traditional way of determination of diosgenin. Diosgenin was extractied with chloroform instead of circumfluence and then oxidized by Liebemann-Barcharad reagent and finally determined with a spectrophotometer. This method was proved to be simple, accurate, low-cost and highly efficient. |
